I have spent the last 14 years in the financial aid industry helping families across California, Massachusetts, and Miami remove the financial aid barriers that stand in their way of getting a college education. I'm committed to helping students and parents realize that college can be affordable. Too often I've seen students forego college because they think it is too expensive. In fact, when I was younger I almost missed an opportunity to attend my dream school because my mother didn't think we could afford to pay for it. With a little persistence and some nagging, I was able to convince her to allow me to take a chance and apply to that school. As a result of that decision, I was fortunately able to get a full ride scholarship to attend the school and change the future for me and my siblings. That experience serves as my motivation for helping families find solutions to pay for college and for creating NavigAid.
